Lonely Is My Life

Contributed by waynster on Saturday, 1st September 2012 @ 01:03:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

As I walk along
sometimes I can clearly see
I am sometimes alone
other times my shadow is beside me

At this moment
I notice my shadow with its head hanging down
He says he is sad
because all I do is frown

He tells me he is always by my side
whether the sun shines or it will rain
He tells me he knows how I feel
he can surely feel my pain

Having been afraid
to allow anyone to know how I truly feel
The time has really come
so this is the deal

What I just told you about my shadow
is just an image of what’s on my mind
I thought I had found happiness
now I see happiness I did not find

There seems to be a sense of evil
really a bad aura around this place I am at
I am feeling as if I need to leave here
I think that is that

My marriage really sucks
I am with a woman that is so cold
The way she speaks to me or treats me
I find is way too bold

At the moment
my life is on a one way street
With many feelings of emptiness
such feelings that need to be beat

I am not suicidal
would never think of taking my life
Just really understanding
I chose the wrong woman to be my wife

Not every woman is the same
this is how I choose to think
Empty from giving all my love
getting nothing in return does stink

When I look around me
I realize I really am alone
It really hurts me
when my wife can’t control her tone

I only wish I could find
happiness and a woman to love me
I would start smiling
that, my shadow would be happy to see

Right now I am on a journey
not knowing which way to turn
Trying to remember what I learned of God
so I don’t go to hell and burn

I find that lust overwhelms me
because my wife doesn’t want to share her bed
I find myself searching for another woman
for the one I am with, to me is almost dead

I am alone in this world
nobody knows how I feel
I hope it’s not too late to find happiness
that I can meet the right woman and my heart will heal.

I like this and it's good therapy to get it out and write about it. But believe me, I know how you feel and I'm sure a lot of other guys do too. Been married twice and the second one was the one that I thought was it . Lots of people can relate, regardless of gender.

Sorry to hear you're going through this.

Just take care of yourself and hang in there. I know it sucks but it will someday be better.

Take care,

Tim
