sometimes we write just to write

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Thursday, 30th August 2012 @ 06:58:48 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

in the heart of a man
who always does his best
& the mind of this man
that never seems to Rest

I can Rest forever
after I am dead
that is my philosophy
that courses threw my head

I am not a movie star
I'm barely anything
so I do my best with my words
to see what smiles I'll bring

but everyone is different
in the simplest of ways
one will say they can Relate
& others simply say

your poem has no meaning
so they do not understand
how to find the feeling
in the words of this man

If you can Read it with your eye's
then try to Read it with your heart
If you truly want to understand
then this is where you start

to see beyond the words
of the verses that you read
some may fill your heart with love
or just simply fill a need

for some it wont do anything
but boggle up the mind
one of the many differences
of these days & times
the hot shot poet

This is the heart of what writing poetry means. It sums up the draw that pulls me to write, and read, and feel, the words that a poet sings. Great write. P
