alone in the dark

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Sunday, 26th August 2012 @ 06:49:34 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

as I sit here & watch
the break of day
as the tranquility of night
just fades away

I hear a bird chirping
in the trees so dark
I dont have a dog
but I hear one bark

I walk in my yard
just to see
it's not my dog
but he's barking at me

he shows me his teeth
& hair stood up on his back
but when i ran at him
I think he lost track

now all I see
is him from behind
no doupt he thinks
I've lost my mind

as he Runs like crazy
crashes into a tree
he was trying his best
to get away from me

I have no fear
of a dog or a bark
or what creeps around
in the midst of the dark

I'm not sure what makes me
React this way
it's always been me
what more can I say

this is my choice
the life I live
I give my all
& to all I give

I've been told I'm crazy
& this may be true
but this is me
doing just what I do

I have no fear
or no Reason to hide
some call it crazy
but I call it pride

all I know
is it's easy to see
it's the andrews spirit
that lives in me

emotion's & tempers
balled up into one
thats all I can say
except this poem is done
the hot shot poet

I read this and it is a great funny poem
I loved it. If this doesn't put a smile in the heart
Nothing will...
Kudos for a fun write
