BODY AND SOUL

Topic: abstract

Here I float
looking back at my body as it is in despair
It sets there with much remorse
and so much hurt to declare

The pain is unbearable
the limits of it, pushed me out
As I am here floating
I am waiting for my body to scream or shout

It seems to be crying
reaching out without words or motion
Just its appearance
are enough to give a mental notion

It is too bad
things have turned out this way
Making me want to leave
where I have been for 48 years at bay

Myself and my body
should be fighting as one
Something went wrong somewhere
something seriously needs to be done

I am merely a soul
having minimal control of what my body does
It is a very hard decision
to go back inside where I was

I am immortal
jumping from each body as they die
As I keep looking back
I know this is one body of which I can rely

Other souls are calling me
they are around me everywhere
But here I float
looking back at my body I find myself to stare

Everyone has problems
things can always be worked out
I better go back inside
before it realizes I am out

Now that I have taken my body back
feeling everything that makes it hurt
I have to try and help guide it
it is not time for it to go in the dirt

Helping to control its emotions
giving it a feeling of better ways
Things are starting to change
together we can see better days

I am thankful
my body I did not leave behind
Had I floated away
maybe something worse I would find

Together Body and soul
this life certainly gives us a fight
Had I left my body hanging
it surely would not have been right.

Now we are together again for a while
things changed for better when they looked so bad
Looking in a mirror
now my body does not look so sad
