Broken Heart And Cage Of Stone

Contributed by waynster on Tuesday, 21st August 2012 @ 05:53:52 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Realizing the woman I am married to,
is on the other side of the planet.
I am on the opposite side,
locked in a cage made of granite.

This is a feeling I’ve had,
every day, for the past few years.
Tired of feeling so far apart,
left alone with nobody to wipe away my tears.

Wanting to break free,
from this cage of stone.
Wanting a woman close to me,
one who is proud to call me her own.

My emotions in turmoil,
often, tears roll down my cheek.
My wife and I are together,
but together we cannot even speak.

The once devoted love,
for my wife I had so strong.
Many times she has told me,
I should go away, here I did not belong.

She always seems so distant,
as if she is living another life.
This woman I am with,
I no longer see as my wife.

Friendship has been broken,
destroyed beyond any kind of repair.
There have been so many years,
I have given all my love to share.

I am so damn empty,
not an ounce of love to share with her.
There is only hatred and torment,
only feelings so cold it makes you go burr.

Dear perfect woman to my liking,
out there in this world all alone.
If you’re searching for a man like me,
email me and I’ll give you my number to call me by phone.

My tear ducts are dry,
no more tears are able to be shed.
It is time to leave this woman,
after she brought another man into her bed.

I am very lonely,
with a heart that is weary and sad.
I am very sure I can find love again,
with the right woman who won’t be bad.

Respect is what I wish
sex is important too.
Feelings will have to be mutual,
then happiness will engulf anything we do.

So, as I set here in my lonely world,
with certain things that hold me back.
I need to wake up to reality,
by giving my face a smack.

I do so dream,
of a happy place full of love.
With a special woman,
approved by God above.

Just a final note,
to the current wife that is so very cold.
It really is a shame,
we were not able to share true love and together grow old.

So pardon me,
while I return to my cage of stone.
Hanging my head,
to a very unhappy life where I am so alone.

Sad but you did a great Job of putting it together,
I can relate to the pain.
I live alone but rather than living with the wrong person I'll stay alone with my animals.
keep writing.
Blessings,
emy
