Mufasa, My Sweet Lion

Topic: PetPoems

My darling boy,
My sweet little guy,
You mean the world to those who have met you
With your extra long whiskers and handsome face, no body could ever resist
It's a shame we live in a cruel world
You are the definition of innocent to me
Just over one year, one month
How could this be?
With all the love and goodness that could be found on this earth,
In reality there isn't much we can do
We can make you purr
We can keep you happy
We can stroke your belly and your mane
We can feed you right and try to make you stronger
We can groom you and keep you clean
We can give you medicine that's said to help
We can fight together against this
But we can't stop this
Not forever
You chose us to be your best friends
Your parents, your guardian angels
And for that I feel so special
Because you truly are a special cat
One that loves fiercer than anyone and anything
One that has the most spectacular passion
You're one of a kind, Mr. Mufasa
And I love you with everything that I am, everything that I have
It's just rotten luck you have this rare disease
It's just not fair

I could feel your sadness, and your desperation. This was so sad, it made me think about how heartbroken I would be if my cat was this sick. I don't know anything about the disease your kitty has, but I hope you get the time to love your cat.
