to build a house of love

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Tuesday, 31st July 2012 @ 09:14:34 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

it takes more than brains
or the stars from up above
if you are gonna build a house
& fill it full of love

start with the foundation
everything must be in tact
because a foundation built from love
should never have a crack

I know there will be stress
for life is built that way
I must find a way to stabilize
like words we want to say

petition walls must be built
to withstand what they endure
like the back bone of a family
it must be strong & pure

so with all of your measurements
& a strong will to survive
this simple house that love has built
is now very much alive

big or small & roomy
no matter what the size
with the right touch all will come alive
right before your eye's
the hot shot poet

The message is oh so true! Love's foundation "should never have crack." If only the majority of relationships were set up like this,
Deidra
