Humble Thoughts

Contributed by waynster on Monday, 30th July 2012 @ 06:57:54 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Water can be deep,
the sky is high.
Thoughts can be deep,
that’s when we stare, without blinking an eye.

The earth is turning,
the force we do not feel.
To the ordinary human,
this is no big deal.

The sun is bright
hot enough to burn the skin.
The clouds are fluffy
when they come rolling in.

The moon is close,
but yet so far away.
Some people reach out to grab it,
and yet, there it wants to stay.

The ocean waters,
pound the shores, pushing and pulling sand.
Just reach down and grab some
and feel the water wash it from your hand.

The stars shine bright,
when there are no clouds to skew the view.
Wondering what else is out there,
and if they are watching me and you.

The water, sky, earth, sun and ocean
all of these together, are an incredible potion.
Anyone thinking they can reach out and grab the moon,
well, that’s a hell of a notion!

There are times,
when my thoughts do run deep.
I love to write them on paper,
so in my head, I won’t have to keep.

Finding the right words,
creating a feeling within you.
It’s sometimes like magic,
but it’s what I love to do.

So stare in the sky,
understand the earth spins with a force.
Clear your mind of all stress,
you will have no remorse.

Think of these words I write,
when you’re bored and all alone.
Maybe writing will help you clear your feelings,
something you shouldn’t postpone.

As a poet
sharing my writings with anyone wishing to read.
When people read and cherish them,
my task is done, nothing more to need.

How ironic this poem is, because I think about all these
Things and try to share them with others LOL, but only kids seem fascinated. By all Gods creation. I find it all so beautiful and
Interesting. A lovely poem indeed
