ever study the veins on a dragonfly's wing,
or the hairs on a peacock feather?
ever watched the eagle soaring so high,
in any sort of weather?
well i have.
that is why,
i want to fly.
i want to feel the rush of air on my face,
the void beneath my feet.
i would fly in weather good bad or fair,
or to escape the summer heat.
but for now i'm stuck on the ground,
and the best that i can do,
is climb a tree,
you'll see.
and i hope that you will too.

I like it! Such a heart-felt and beautiful poem which many people can relate to.
