Wyoming Meadows
I gave my desire to the Wyoming meadows
Resting in the sun,
While she slept in my arms
And the world turned wind
She had searched my eyes to hold me
And loved my words
That had wrapped her kisses in flowers
Of the Yellowstone
Yet when she awoke
To the mountain lilacs murmuring
I had vanished into the future
Whispering of ancient love
