It’s a mess that I don’t want tidied because it allows me to dream.
I’m walking away from reality, allowing my sun to gleam.
Every direction leads me to my destiny, so why do I have to choose.
I just want to smile and not have to pick the road where I lose.
The louder my thoughts get, the more I get afraid.
But instead I stand up straight not letting my dreams fade.
Putting a barrier up around that ever so present hole, finding out more about myself along the way.
Not sure yet if I like what I see. Just taking it day by day.
We all learn from our mistakes. But who said I made one?
My heart and head now fighting constantly. Who said love was supposed to be fun?
Unhappiness is but a sour aftertaste, you lose it before you even had it.
Your grip on memories grows stronger each day, happily taking that nostalgic hit.
Trying to shine a light on the truth. Running, but not sure why?
Just knowing it will get me somewhere, hopefully near my dreams, close to the sky.
Creating a net to catch me if I fall, wishing to be the list and not just another name.
One day, maybe? We can restart that love game.
