Are you the one I often see
Peering at me from behind the trees?
But whenever I try to catch a glimpse of you from near,
You always try to escape as if out of some kind of fear.
Are you the one I can often hear
Singing that song that has always been so very dear,
But whenever I try to listen to you sitting somewhere near
You always stop, as if you don't want me here.
Are you the one who always takes care
Of all the small details concerned with my pleasure
But whenever I try to make my feelings clear
You always give an excuse to have to go somewhere.
You are the one who has always been
The sweetest start to the bitter mornings
You may be too young to realise already
That you have personified love
In each and every corner of my heart.
