The one thing that controls your life
that marks you as man
that marks you alive
that makes you take a stand
memories are collections
of different sorts of pain
thoughts are the connections
to the place your soul is stained
we all bowed down
we knelt and we scraped
and across our shoulders
a mantle of pain was draped
we'll never find relief
we'll never see the end
all we get is pain
so share it with a friend
Don't face this god
don't take the pain
stand and fight
you've freedom to gain.

| Born out the depths of pain and baptised in human suffering then the human spirit rises more glorious than anyone can imagine. I have seen it through my work and as with your strong empowering words I am inspired and amazed by the inner strength found. |
