As a poet
i seem to write what I feel.
Writing my thoughts
hoping your heart to steal.
As a poet
i write with wisdom words at bay.
I write of words
that deep down your soul would love to say.
Whether my poems are sad
or seem depressed by every word you read
You really must know
my poems will water your inner seed.
It is then
when your body may shed a tear.
From reading one of my poems
to me that is so dear.
Having a gift or a talent
to spark a feeling in another person’s mind.
This is something not everyone has
please respond with words that are kind.
Now that I have watered a seed in your soul
by writing of a feeling that has affected you.
Let your feelings show
don’t keep them bottled up, it’s the worst you can do.
A mother, a father,
a sibling of any sort.
Do not let their bottled up feelings
allow you to choose your writings to abort.
Be strong, know your wisdom is heartfelt
whenever someone has a reply.
Just know that
If it is negative, to themselves they lie.

I find writing poems really therapeutic and a big help in taking away some of life's stress.
I also find reading the work of others a big inspiration.
There certainly is a lot of talent on here and I'm humbled to be a part of it.
Well written.
