No one comes to the womans rescue
Once again she chants the words growing angrier and weaker each time
"Help me
Im drowning
Help me
Im drowning"
Still nobody comes to her rescue
Wheres her superman?
She waits
Nobody comes to her rescue
As loud as the woman can she yells,
"I may not appear to be drowning in water,
but oh children of the world I am!
I am drowning physically, mentally, and emotionally."
Again, she chants the words
getting so weak she drops to his knees
sobbing in between words
"Help me
Im drowning in lies
Help me
Im drowning in propaganda
Help me
Im drowning in oppression
Help me
Im drowning in poverty
Help me
Im drowning in hunger
Help me
Im drowning in despair
Help me
Im drowning in sadness
Help me
Im drowning in the blood of innocent people
Help me
Im drowning in death
Im going to die
Along with the people who love me most
Who want to secure my rights
Who are willing to fight my fights"
She took her last breath
Fell to the ground
And died
Only then did people come to her rescue
They came too late
She was dead
She was dying in front of the world
In front of their eyes
They heard her cries
But did not do anything to save her
It was too late
She was dead...
Her name was Syria.
Do something before it's too late
And help save Syria
