The Blood of Annubis

Contributed by Aristotle on Saturday, 10th May 2003 @ 04:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The Sun and the Air are bonded forever.
Their lives intertwined throughout the ages.
Their Child rises,
bringing the majestic trinity to be.

He watches her gaze,
looking deep into the dark chasm which has become speckled with sand.
The sand of Earth moved,
and spread throughout the darkness.

She feels the sand beneath her toes,
the vastness of the desert.
She hears a sound behind her,
though she does not move, not knowing what beast lay in wait.

He feels her tense; her body begins to shake, to tremble.
Slowly he moves towards her, his feet sticking in the sand.
The light strikes against the massive city,
Khonsu’s full power crosses the sky.

Her mind races, what foul beast stalks her, one step, one sound.
Behind her, she hears a sound,
to what can this be attributed?
Khonsu’s mighty power reveals the truth to her eyes.

She knows, he must act now.
He leaps onto her in wild passion, grabbing her wrists and pinning them to the sand.
He feels the sand moving across their bodies as they roll.
Down, Down, Down.

She feels his mighty power against her.
She fights, no mortal shall drink of her cup.
No mortal may taste the sweet nectar she holds.
She will not release. They fall, fall, fall.

As they reach the bottom, he plunges his blade deep into her gentle body.
She blinks, gasping for precious life.
She beings to descend to the piety of Osiris.
She blinks, then inhales her final breath of life.

He feels her limp body surrender beneath his powerful grip.
He removes her clothes and blood runs across her face, covering her eyes.
The lost glare once set upon the skies,
now set upon the nothingness.

She opens her eyes to the gates of Annubis.
She slowly removes her garment for the final test.
Her love for Annubis will never fade, never end.
Her nectar, only for him, only for her love.

As both couples move forward they feel each other as they move.
Both smile, Both force, Both taste.
The blood runs over the hands of Annubis.
He feels her mortal blood, for now and for eternity.
