trying so hard to help someone

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Tuesday, 17th July 2012 @ 08:22:41 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

everyday in someone's life
a time comes along
you reach out to help someone
be it Right or wrong

trying to make a difference
we think we can make a difference
in the little things we try
not knowing if we're right or wrong
& never asking why

I tried to help a friend
her life was in dispair
she was reaching out for help
but sheseemed not to care

my whole family stepped in
to help get this girl on track
clothes ,food & a home
& she never called us back

then I opened up my eye's
what I saw was hard to see
this is my adopted daughter
& she was useing me

no doupt I took this hard
she was a diamond in my eye
I might get all broke inside
but no room in life to cry

so I dug a little deeper
& this poem has to say
I gave up on my daughter
because her parties were in the way
the hot shot poet

I'm sorry about your daughter, and thank you for sharing something so painful. You might not like advice or anything from someone you don't even know, and I'm not giving advice, but in my experence, when someone I know is hurting their life , I had to step back and let them figure it out themselves. Yeah, it's painful, but what could I do when it's there own choice? Hope the best for you, and thanks for the sharing.

I'm sorry to har about your daughter. I know how hard that must be, I'm a daughter but my mother drops anything for me. as I know it's any mothers instinct. your poem was meaningful and a great write. again I'm sorry to hear tho, & the pain you hold must be a burden to carry.
