The stars swirl through the universe
A thousand whispered echoes of love
And my heart is accosted by mysterious desire
Because I'm falling for the one above
Your mysteries sweep me on the wing
Of some metaphoric soaring pegasis
And I'm a speck trying to balance on the edge of galaxies
Knowing my lover-God created all this
A thousand stars streaked by as from a painter's brush
While I rode a sailing-ship out of sight and mind
And my reason can't tap the water to make the ripples stir
In all my striving to understand this love divine
Well I rode a seashell down to the bottom of the ocean
It was full of Your love and I drunk it dry
And my existence cannot comprehend how there's always more from You
Though a black soiling lump of man am I
I tried to build me a house of iron walls to shut out reality
But through it all I heard Your gentle laugh
And there are so many ways mortals claim we own our lives
We list them as we march fate's unalterable path
And I'm scratching at the surface
Trying to prove that I exist
And deep down I know I need a purpose
So please seekers join me now in this
We'll perch together on the edge of galaxies
And watch them swirl by
And discuss how God created all of this
As our tears will slowly dry
One day soon I'll face eternity
That misty curtain will peel back
And God will come and he will walk with me
Tgether we'll whisper, cry, and laugh
The stars will swirl gently overhead
And I'll know its not a dream
And God will take my hand in his
As we will dance in eternity
