He is drowning in a sea of televised distractions
With a terrible attention span and a hungering mentality
He is shameless, and guided entirely by social interactions
He momentarily acquires mainstream identities to let himself be
But at the end of the day he always returns to a hollow shell of crying
He is hopeless and impulsive in his modus operandi
Fictionalizing his personality and his inner schisms
Relatives, colleagues and friends tell him that he is always lying
He tells them to stop empathizing and start dying
He is just a shallow materialist in a world of hedonism
With a deathwish and a greedy smile on his face
He consumes the world for his leisure
Conquering the abyss by a single gaze
And marking summum bonum as his pleasure

Hi,
I Like this. Man's never-ending hedonistic
quest for 'his own greater good' in the
me, me, me, me society. Although I'm a bit
more optimistic that the hedonist is in the
substantial minority, I feel that you are
portraying him/her as the uncaring majority.
Well written just the same - well done.
