Pass and Stow
Pass and Stow did you know
What you created
When you recast the myth of freedom
That the halls would echo
From evil and wicked men
Wasting what their fathers grew
That avarice and their pride
Would savage the common
Threads that were once so strong
The great bell does not try to ring
The liberties that it sounded
Are cracked and no longer sing

I picture here a dusty apocalyptic/fairytale world. This seems at first a simple piece, but it's effective and in fact quite weighty. I don't believe in Nationalism, but I wish your country the best |

I know what you feel. It is interesting when you think about it, how a small group of men (relative to the size of the world) get to make the calls. But thats life I guess. Great poem and insight.
