The Love Game

Contributed by CherryReadPoet on Sunday, 8th July 2012 @ 02:13:02 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

It looks like it's me against me,
And that's not easily done.
In fact, in that game
It's like two against one.

For the feeling inside,
The feeling I lack,
The feeling of happiness
Has been taken aback.

Maybe I'm wrong,
Maybe I'm too overstating.
But I can't deny this sadness
I keep on creating.

It's like a footstep in sand
That gets washed straight away.
I guess the feeling better
Will come a different day.

Why is it that it's rainy,
The days I feel like crying?
It's like a pathetic fallacy,
The one where the clouds are dying.

Wake me up,
The dreams are too real.
It's hurting my soul
This love it's trying to conceal.

I thought of that game, when I was a child, why would a mother love me so tenderly, with all my short-comings, what made me so special, yet my mother held me close to her heart, how could I find a way to love as much ever.
You are never it, the game isn't love. You are in truth born in the wild, thought to believe the love you share is the love you deserve. Love is not a game if it is true.
Love can transcend truly misunderstanding self awareness and often does, tragically.
Nor is life any game. You have magnificent qualities, if you seek love, true love.
I really think that there are a lot of people all around you that need true love. Someone to hold onto.

Peace!
