I'm no model on a magazine
I don't portray a cheap image of beauty
Instead I'm a Mona Lisa
I am a Mona Lisa
a canvas
I am a canvas.
I'm also the artist.
I smoother myself with life.
I am the shadings of charcoal.
dark times.
I am the shavings of pencils
I leave myself, to find myself,
Let me get to the point . . .
I am a portrait that obtains elements that defines self.

Wow, that's awesome! I love the shape of your poem and I like the imagery you invoked. And its very true: we're more than our outside appearances. "For man looks at the outside appearance, but God looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7. Great write!
