Together forever,
That's what he said.
I'll never leave you,
Should have never been said.

Lies upon lies,
About us and the future.

One day, he said,
We'll have a beautiful house,
With kids and a yard,
We'll say our vows,
In the church on the hill.

Deep down I knew,
Nothing he said was true.
But I still believed.

I took him back,
The first time,
And even the second.

And I gave him my everything,
But got nothing in return.

Not everyone you fall in love with that talks the talk, literally walks the walk. But you live, you learn, and you grow - stronger. Cry a little about it, that's okay, but better days are on the horizon for you...and so is that special someone
