The crying of the lambs
Chill me.
Shrill and piercing
They are the
Haunting song of the innocent
Being slaughtered.
Those poor,
Little lambs.
If only I could save just one,
I wouldn't feel as guilty anymore.
...They fall silent.
I wait.
But there seems to be no continuation.
I know better.
There are always little lambs,
Ready to be slaughtered,
Unsuspecting
And trusting.
A sign that their melody
Full of their shrieks and wails
Will come back to haunt me again.
