Sequel to The Stupid Knight

Contributed by ginsdance on Friday, 9th May 2003 @ 11:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Most of you remember
My tale of foolish woe,
Upon which I had to go hiking,
To find my knight of gold.
I've finally returned from my trip,
And I have a thing or two to say
About bungling knights,
And their crazy foolish ways.
It's laughable really that we depend
On knights who have no sense of direction
To come sweep us off our feet
And carry us onward towards elation,
Because really, if you think about it,
How many times do knights stop
And ask for directions?
Or find their way once their lost?
Never! It's the truth,
But I regret to say,
That my sense of direction isn't much better,
But I did find him anyway.
Lost in the woods,
Wandering around,
Scratching his head,
Singing off-key and VERY loud.
Yet he was my knight
So I just had to rescue him!
I couldn't just leave him there
Singing to himself in all that gray dim!
So I swept him off his feet,
And put him on top of his own horse!
What can one expect from a bungling knight?
His princess rescued him, of course!
