Heaven

Topic: ChristianPoetry

Have you ever wondered about Heaven
And how it will be
Will the loved ones who have gone before us
Remember you and me?

Are the streets really lined with gold
Do the angels really have wings
Do you ever really stop and think
About all these wonderful things?

It must be a magnificent place
And one day we too shall see
This place called Heaven
Where God has saved a place for you and me.

Just think of all the wonders
That will be yours to behold
These things you will remember forever
Because in Heaven you never grow old.

Heaven has no imperfections
There the blind will see and the lame will walk
And those you could not speak before
Will now be able to talk.

In our world there are so many beliefs
But one thing I know is true
There is a heaven and a God
And he is always there for me and you.

He will never turn his back on us
His love is too deep
Those times that we neglect him
If you listen, you can hear him weep.

If you truly believe in God
Then your sins he will forgive
And in his love and grace
You will always live.

We all must live and die
That much is true
And what you believe thereafter
Is entirely up to you.

As for me I know God is real
And that heaven truly is a wonderful place
One day I will see all of this
When I finally see Jesus face to face.

Yes Heaven is a place
And one day there I will be
And all of God's glory
I will finally get to see.

My loved ones will be there to greet me
With their arms opened wide
And Jesus will be there too
Right by their side.

That day will be here soon
Of that I have no doubt
And when that glorious day comes
With my loved ones, I will sing and shout.

Absolutely beautiful - glorious!
Eyes have not seen nor ears have heard what the Lord has prepared for those that love him - says St. Paul.
And yes, our loved ones will be there waiting.
Thankls for composing this uplifting poem and sharing it with us.
Blessings in abundance
Elizabeth
