The Unbearable Darkness of Drunkenness

How the words
Tumble
Dribble
Out of my incontrollable mouth
All the wrong words, in the wrong order
I tell you I despise you!
Love you - -
You are multiple and so is she
Standing by your side- -
Where?
Tomorrow, I shall regret
My lack of memories- -
Life is ephemeral, ethanol, fleeting
The grass is grassy green- -
And the blinding darkness
Of this tumbling night
Is weighing on my eyelids.

I'd like to say, I appreciate though have never experienced what your poem is saying, but it is all too recogniseable.
Concise, with a brimming glass of what is sometimes so disturbing about the mirror. Nice job. |
