How could this be me?
Why can’t I see my dream?
Is there a direction for me?
Can dreams be this discreet?
Because my life is just passing me by and my story is not worth talking about.
Can I take a dream and make it my own.
With no direction or story to tell.
Only time can tell if I’m living to pass or fail.
How can my life be so cold and empty with fear of growing up?
Because my life is just passing me by and my story is not worth talking about.
Unsatisfied with my life I can’t afford to mess this up.
Because with life there is no turning back or easing mistakes.
And the choices I’ve made is what got me feeling this way.
Because my life is just passing me by and my story is not worth talking about.
Describing me with one word would be lost
Lost adjective meaning
Unable to find the way to a place
How can I relate I am unable to find myself to my destiny in life?
So lost and me is one in the same
Because my life is just passing me by and my story is not worth talking about.

Every life is worth talking about, every second, every emotion you feel is worth talking about.
Just pick the simplest feeling, the most common epiphany and you will see that it can grow and grow and eventually blossom, though maybe not every time... Hence the poetry of life in your mind is born |

everyones life hits a slump sooner or later but it's the will power we have when we are young that helps us to place where we belong in this life, your words are very inspiring & your life is worth talking about even in your poem I can see you are at least trying to see if your life is worth talking about.take it from a stranger, one who lives by words that people write.some of us cannot talk to people but we can put our thoughts & feelings on paper with no problem & some of us do understand what that person is feeling,so dont give up & keep writing.
thanks for sharing

It's almost ironic that we enjoy hearing about that not worth mentioning.
The reality of life is that it's not same Grecian Epic where everyone is described only in superlatives. We are not heroes worth remembering.
But that doesn't mean it isn't worth our while expressing ourselves into the world. Seeing that we are all this un-remarkable, and by seeing that we don't HAVE to be immortalised as demi-gods brings us a self-value we can be comfortable with. And this is what your poem does for its readers. |

Life for most people can be a mind-distorting maze. I'm in that kind of situation as a 19 year old motherless & fatherless boy who's trying to become self-sufficient and make life easier for those around him because he feels like a great burden to his surroundings. So thank you for sharing this poem. Feel free to message me anytime, I'm always willing to listen. And never put your pen down, keep writing, I'd love to see more of your poetry.
