ALL I HEAR IS THE BLOWING OF THE WIND

Contributed by hray42 on Sunday, 24th June 2012 @ 07:45:37 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

all i hear is the blowing of the wind
i cannot hear a single word you say
i will no longer lie, and just pretend
i will no longer kneel and falsely pray
i am giving up and going to the mountains
for which i feel i owe to you no reason
i will no longer drink from bloody fountains
fed by innocents you killed out of season
all i hear is what drowns my ears
i'm still waiting for a sign to come
so tired of slipping on wasted tears
so tired of crying until i'm numb
i'm not worried as the end is near
a time for you when you will sing
do not be shy and please don't fear
just find your voice before your king
i myself will not be fooled
i myself will never sleep
you touch hot ash before it's cooled
you slaughter all the newborn sheep
the mountains in the east will be my home
i will travel to their peaks so very soon
the mountains are where i need to roam
standing even closer to the moon
all i touch seems to simply fade away
all i see are wars that never end
all i taste is the bitter side of day
all i hear is the blowing of the wind...
