The Road Of Life

Contributed by Action567 on Saturday, 23rd June 2012 @ 04:41:01 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The road of life
Is full of choices that we must make
Whether good or bad
The consequences we must take

I wish that road
Only ran one way
And there would be no obstacles
That would lead us astray

How simple life would be
If everything went right
Our worries would be none
And our burdens would be light

But bad decisions do happen
And we must face up to them
Whether here on earth
Or in front of "Him"

But what if God gave us the power
To go back and and undo
Something in our life
Would I take that chance - would you?

Correcting one thing
Might lead to making more
Only God knows
What life holds in store

It would be hard to choose
Even if we tried with all our might
What we would change
In our life to make it right

Sometimes things don't turn out
The way we wish they would
But having the bad things come along
Makes us appreciate more the good

So when you make choices in your life
Make sure it is the right one
I know this to be true
You can't go back and get it undone.

Excellent exposition of man's inability to remedy past failures.
While there is no way to remedy it, it likewise is no good to hang on to it, but with trust in God to go forward. The Present counts.and what we do wit it.
Fine job this. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings
Elizabeth
