anguished
|
Betrayed by my self
Over the thought of another’s help
Finding nothing in my emptiness
Holding no more chance at bliss
I fear I’ve lost you
And yet I never even had you
Oh this misery
That stands within dark reality
As I fall apart
I mend this broken heart
Broken by my fears
Eroded by my own tears
So now I stand alone
The master of another broken home
A child with no hope
Hanging at the end of a rope

wow, I really like those last fine lines. Powerful and yes, dark.
Nicely done.
However, glad you found someone better.
Thanks,

Masterly description of the state of utter dejection. Yes, and real dark.
Let us light it up with the candle of hope and trust.
Great job.
Blessings
