Walk of Fame

Contributed by Blackheart on Wednesday, 20th June 2012 @ 09:52:26 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

In the beginning
Sometimes I left messages in the street
Hoping someone would walk upon inspiring grounds
I was 13, still learning
That for me the world wasn't meant
Words all covered in dirty shoeprints...

I left messages in the street
Tryna create my own walk of fame
But after my words became concrete
Hollywood is one place I'll never see my name
So I buried my pen alonside them
Never to write again
But 4 years later things changed...

Momma sent from Heaven
Every dead lyric I've ever written on her 47th birthday
She said...

"This is your creation
History in the making
There's no being in the world that can create such a trail
People step on your feelings, that doesn't mean you failed
A picture worth a million words
I admire this artist very well
Don't give up, continue paving your walk of fame
Welcome the world to it
Once they've cmpletely walked through it
I promise they'll remember your name"

I turned around
Watched my pen rise from the ground
Picked it up again
My time is now

Hi mate, first of all dont ever give up writing! what might seem like ***** today will be gold tommorrow!! belive in yourself,
I can speak from experience because i was in the same position as you, I had lost the passion, the power, and the effect creative writing can make you feel.
I however took the next step and submitted my writing to a publishing company, www.xlibris.com.au, I was published, A full colour book A RHYME IN TIME,
I knoticed you have written 21 poems and thats all you need to publish, My strong advice is, you only live once! Take the next step and dont be scared, it may just ignite that flame again:))
All the best.... S.L.Cross
