Alone!? For the Rest of My Life?

Contributed by soulsongs on Monday, 18th June 2012 @ 03:51:23 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Yes, I once was a part of your twisted existence;
Which heed pain and sorrow.
Though smiles were rare,
There was always tomorrow.

My time was not near
'Tis why I lie here.
It is now I have reason to feel alone;
For I am alone.
Surrounded by God's carpet, I am walked on by Him.
I comfort His feet while I pay for my sin.

I shall lie still in my grave for passersby.
In despair of the cold darkness
'Tis then I shall cry.

Without this lengthy drawn out explanation I'll just leave it at this:

I feel like I relate to this poem.

Well done and thank you for posting.

Thank you,

Tim

Really touching poem. It's obvious there have been hard things in your life, but you are expressing them, which is the way not to get bitter. I admire your strength. Your comment that God walks on us like a carpet was interesting. I always like reading the part of the New Testament where Jesus washes the feet of others, because it shows that God himself came to earth to serve and comfort us, even though he is our King and creator. And I find that very touching and very profound. :)
