Lethe
I could play at happiness
And dance with the vanity of joy
But in the darkness
Memory comes with eyes of ice
How tenderly the snow falls
Upon shattered love
When the walls are overthrown
With lust and blind desire
Sadness reigns triumphant
With the forbidden pleasure of her
That would conquer love
With a river of cold forgetfulness
