Let her be Curiously Disengaged

...why let her be, curiously disengaged
from the sadness of the world, and it's
inevitable decay
...just let her be, like she was only
born yesterday
with a glimmer of hope still left in her soul
listening so intently, to the stories
we have told
she's got that purple varnish
painted delicately on her nails
and those eyes, they stare into time
as the moments continuously sail
red lips like the apples which never
fall far from the tree
and like our gorgeous heroine Snow White
she's waiting for true love
to set her free
Let her be disgraceful! Insane if she feels
Don't let reality get her, you know -
it really kills
It will take her soul
and her tender heart too
the poison of what we are
will turn her insides black and blue
She will perish inside
To realise the cruelty
of what we must go through
Let her be run free! Like the spirit she
wishes to be
Let her get drunk off fantasy
And the world that once was inside
you and me
Because someone sober
Whose felt the strains of life
See's the world through a veil
Of how destroyed they are inside
They don't see the glitter
of every sun rise and fall
Instead they stay inside wishing
That they had the guts to end it all
Let her be crazy! Getting drunk on
the prettiness of life
Let her see the world as beautiful
Through her absented minded eyes
Because the blood that flows through
Someone whose free inside
Sparkles against the summer
and stays ultraviolet through the night
Let her stay young
With no constraints of her mind
Keep her away from their medication
That will poison her insides
Let her be unbalanced
'cos its the only way to really see
Because somebody ruined and sober
Won't see the world as it's
Truly
Meant
To
Be.
