Confusion rocks my conscious mind
This makes no sense of any kind
You sent me letters filled with hate
Then you beg, please change my fate

The words you choose to utter to me
Were meant to make me set you free
Then you filled them with all the pain
You could think upon me to rain

Where in the words you put to pen
Does your falsehood find its end
Truth is something foreign to you
So not part of anything you ever do

Trust me, you say, I'm a changed man
As you reach for me with a closed hand
All you hold there is a blighted future
All I'll find with you is need of a suture

You've never harmed with your curled fist
You use your mouth, evil words you enlist
Think you'll intimidate me to your will
You use hateful lies to your mind's fill

Surprises await you from this moment on
I now know the words to a different song
You can no longer blind me to truth's way
From its path you'll not make me stray

Trust is aligned with truth akin to love
Not something you can push or shove
Since I can't picture you with either
I'm closing down your drama theater
