severely Burnt

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Friday, 15th June 2012 @ 05:01:51 PM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

i cannot write a poem
this kind of pain does not inspire
I had a severe accident
& caught my arm on fire

it had to be my right hand & arm
& I'm as right handed as can be
I never thought in my life
this could happen to me

flames are unforgiving
no matter who you are
they are so very painful
& no doupt they leave a scar

I dont know how long
the pain is gonna last
but I'll be glad when it eases up
so I can put this in my past

I've gotten so use to writing
to attempt to bring a smile
to all who reads my poems
even for a little while

I suppose I'll just read more
it's what I need to do
because this one finger typing
keeps me down & blue

I know that I will bounce back
but it's gonna take some time
I feel just like I'm lost
in a world that has no rhyme

the one thing that I love to do
for now has been taken from me
but still I will not give up
just for now it has to be

you people have inspired me
to always do my best
so I'm writing this just to say
I'm being forced to take a rest

but I'm sure that I will return
it might take a little while
& hopefully I will still know how
to make my readers smile
the hot shot poet

Very nice for typing with one finger. i type with my index fingers, but have learned to do it very well. I hope that you have a full and fast recovery, get well soon.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
