Your Mournful Song

Contributed by krissy26 on Monday, 11th June 2012 @ 11:19:07 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

This tiring world here,
forever needing that sleep.
Forever we weep,
Yet I still hold you near.

You and your charm,
it holds me bound with that smile.
The one I see for a mile,
The one coated with alarm.

You come to me for assurance,
but you bring me harm for your wrongs.
You hurt me and yet for you my heart longs.
My body lies still with no endurance.

I'm tired..
With my heart broken I leave.
Through my life I weave.
I pass the many years and I'm tired.

I'm tired of the pain and the wrong.
You find me over again and try to take me.
I have no feeling left, so through this, my heart you can't see.
Knowing this, you will suffer for so long.

Grant it I might go alone,
but I am strong unlike you.
I'm growing stronger away from you and love I can do.
I'm not broken anymore, I've changed my tone.

My heart is renewed here and now.
For you I feel bad,
but yet not, you never loved me, and that's sad.
You pretended for you own benefit, now I see how.

You are empty and cold.
Your world revolves around only you.
You are a sickness of your own and there is nothing you can do.
Never will you realize until you've grown old.

You will be alone and tired.
You will realize that you were wrong,
You will try to change but it will be too late, so you will sing that mournful song.
Others loving lives, you will desire.

Sorry but your too late.
So sing that mournful song and raise that white flag.
For me you are gone, your a memory of a shadow with a dirty rag.
For your own death you await.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
