She's beautiful, yet insecure
her heart, soul, and love is pure
she's hurt and depressed
she's still loving while he's already lost interest
She's curious but scared to get close
she's the only one fighting the most
she might get trapped again
she's cautious because stupid men
You're her only friend left now
she wants to tell you she still loves you...but how?
she only feels safe around you
yet, leaving is the only thing you do
She remembers all the heartbreaking memories
and now she believes you two are enemies
tell her how you feel
at least she's not fake...she's real
you treat her like trash and don't even notice
thanks to you, she can't even focus
see how bad you hurt her from time to time?
but she fakes a smile and pretends to be fine
Despite how much you hurt her
you can ALWAYS be sure
because you have her locked in tight
she STILL believes it was love at first sight
She wants you to know that you make her day
and that she's here forever to stay
no matter what you say or do
she will ALWAYS love you
She can't imagine life without you
and she wonders why you don't feel this way too
she starts to think there's something wrong
and yet she still manages to stay strong
Even though all you've caused her is heartbreak
she doesn't mind so she'll take and take
she'll give and give but it's not enough
she cries and tries to be a little tough
You don't understand that she's under a lot of stress
but even if you knew, she knows, you couldn't care less
she wants to ask you if you care
but your answer could be too much for her to bare
She doesn't want you to feel bad
especially for her, it just makes her mad
she blames herself for everything
even though she didn't do anything
She's stronger than you think
but when she sees you, it makes her heart sink
and when you look VERY closely
you'll see ~That Girl~ is me

| Awesome poem I have been in your shoes many times. I was just in this same situation not long ago, but time will heal and friends can help. Sometimes it's best to just read or find something awesome to do to keep your mind off of things. I myself I write when I am down, and it's when some of my best work shows. |
