I do not think of death.
I think of living forever.
Not wasting one breath,
No concern whatsoever.
I look towards the future
Not looking over my shoulder
My dreams are bound by a suture
My mind unshakeable, like a boulder
But I seem to overlook.
I seem to have a cloudy head.
Like a stone skipped across a brook
Moving too fast to see what lies ahead
I have underestimated the world
It is cruel and cold
Dreams crushed, mind hurled.
It has made its presence bold.
This life seems useless to me
I have given up
After viewing reality,
Personal and close up.
Beaten by life as I have passed by.
Why should I have to pay?
I must admit I have told a lie,
I think about dying every day.

Great Job!!
I know the feelings you speak of in this poem so well,it made me shiver..Life is so unbelievably twisted&brutal,but it's not a horror movie,it's reality! Scary!! Don't give up or give in! Keep writing it all down&sharing with the rest of us who go through the same things everyday!! Don't give up your poetic ability ever!!
