selfstruggles

Slipping past greedy, selfish smiles
Weary of my path
It's dark and I'm too scared to turn around
There's always been a light ahead of me
I've been running for years
A nomad lost in the wilderness
I've dug my grave one too many times
Just to sleep and hide from the desolate spaces in my mind
Hoping to wake from my internal nightmares
I'm getting tired of traveling this distance
My perseverance is growing weak
And I can hear the whisperings of the monsters in my dreams
But I shall not falter now...

Resolve and perseverance as we all face our demons.I can identify with the nomadic description and the first line in the way that the world can seem.Your writing is humble in its recognition of our human weakness, and inspiring in its recognition of our ability to have strength of spirit to carry on. |
