Living In A Shadow

Topic: MiscPoems

Living in a shadow
maybe a shadow lives in me.
Sometimes things are shaded
not always so clear to see.

Looking at one thing
still seeing the shadows of another.
Are these shadows in my mind
or just a process from eyes that flutter.

At times it is often
there are random times as well.
Many of these times,
what’s in these shadows is hard to tell.

It may be nothing
it could surely be a sign.
The shadows I speak of
are shadows that are mine.

Something in my vision
in my sight as plain as day.
Then there is a shadow
that just won’t go away.

Could it be a burden?
upon my sole or from another past.
Whatever reason I see these shadows
I pray it doesn’t last.

When you look at something
you stare as long as can be.
Shadows within that vision
you will surely see.

A shadow or a shade
visions seen with these eyes from which I see.
Maybe these shadows
are only there for me.

Living in a shadow
every moment in life is for real.
Come and touch my hand
maybe my shadows you can steal.

Just read your poem and loved it. There is some very deep meaning behind your poetry. I loved the expressions in the words that you used. You're very good and Yes I will definitely read more of your poems.

I wanted to say also Thank you for the comments on my poems. You made my day and you are correct in saying we do write very similar.
