Who Am I?

Who am I?
The one I am or the one I used to be?
I have forgotten
All that is me.

What has happened?
This is so strange.
I have lost myself.
I am overdue for change.

I must search for myself
In the mazes of my mind.
For the one I used to be,
So generous and so kind.

But I must be careful
To not get lost in the maze.
I will forever be lost,
Confused and in a daze.

I take on a journey
To find my former being.
This seeking is difficult,
My brain is agreeing.

My quest seems discomfited.
For I am nowhere in sight.
The tunnel looks long and dark,
At the end, I can see no light.

I hunt for my soul,
I search for my heart.
I can only bare so much,
Before my mind falls apart.
