Cricket Love

The cricket love is dancing
Through the grass
Cutting
The blades of moonlight,
Each turning minute
A ghost of focused watching,
Pale reminders of ancient hope

The Io moths flutter
In their ecstasy,
Their dark eyes
Reading the scattered leaves
of poetry.
They worship the oafish heart
Kneeling with its
Vanished loveliness

I love the romantic dream of your words. The words flowed as the imagery grew. I really liked it, read it twice. Great write. P
