I want to tell a story
& it is not about a ghost
it's more to me than history
or the drinking of a toast
the story is of a life
once bound by tragedy
how somehow the eye's were open
& life saw reality
so many of us live with depression
even thoughts of suicide
not giving thought to the ones who love us
just simple selfish pride
some people think with suicide
the pain will go away
well if thats the way you think
then go ahead & think that way
suicide is a copout
for the ones with out strength to say
be strong & behold
it will make a better day

Well well, sounds like a reasonable poem if you ask me. Though people who commit suicide may not be thinking about people who it will hurt and that they see themselves as unimportant or that the world will be better off without them, but in a nutshell, they don't intend on hurting others when they commit suicide. They just feel like dying is the only way to get away from themselves or the world. It's sometimes complicated to understand them, but what I just said kind of sums up their thinking process a little bit for most of them. Others have different reasons. |
