Am I a POET?

Am I a POET?

As I walk through valleys, beaten up and ill,
escaping storm and mighty thunder,

my mind is reaching for the sunny hill.
Loads of misery are left behind… far under.

I rise within my mind to all of you,
who care about the world out there

and leave those shady days behind, to
say the words of wisdom and to share.

Poetic, were those people who knew
precisely how to seize the ghost of time.
Revealing it in their own view,
with words so beautiful and rhyme.

On every word I put on paper,
a little rose should blossom.
To create a poem worth of reader
is a must and should be awesome.

Ey, my poets, what more there is to say?
Do we know that our debt is greater?
Poets also have their debt to pay.
Theirs is with words, nicely put on paper.

To be sincere and not to scare,
I greet you all with opened mind.
Let’s race, see if you’d dare,
a word... worthy of a rose to find.

Clever little idea, to weave the title into the thread of the poem.
Wasn't expecting that touch of originality but yet again on this site I never fail to be amazed by the work of others.
Well done

Steve

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
