SPREADING THE WORD

i have walked a thousand miles to get to where i am
i carry with me all i need in my hand
i have braved the burning heat and the freezing cold
i continue forth just doing as i was told
my feet leave a trail of blood on the ground
for i have lost so much, but the word i have found
i follow the stars when i walk at night
and follow the sun in the given light
my rest is not, my sleep only rare
i look to the west, i walk, and i stare
i was given a task that i mean to complete
ignoring the elements, fatigue, and my feet
i was told to spread the word throughout the lands
to put it in the forests and over desert sands
i will push on westward until i reach the sea
this that i do will save you and save me
what you do with the word you will be held liable
just listen to me as i read the holy bible...
