With city walls built around our hearts
A forgotten diamond in every shoe
We fragment the whole into tiny parts
To seperate lies from truth
We search in secret for the elusive gem
That old itch we cannot scratch
Always thinking is it with them?
A plan to take it I must hatch!
Round and round and round we go
The relay hamsters sleep on the wheel
Always fighting against the flow
And denying our hearts can feel
But all rotation has its axis
The central point can never budge
This is where well find our bliss
So stop, relax and cease to judge
When a busy ocean reflects not the sky
The clouds do not cease to be
As a seperate mind thinking only of I
Cannot become the sea
The cell cannot grasp the creature
Just carry out its desire
If it thought itself as teacher
It would burn in its own fire
Only infinite love can end this despair
And lead us back to the whole
If you take your old shoes in for repair
Youll find the diamond there in the sole
