YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU
that's what I saw,
the guy with the moustache
his posters galore

Only sixteen
but I couldn't care,
My cousin's a hero
already there

Age not a problem
I'll tell them a lie,
Mum'll be proud
When I wave her goodbye

Ten months training
I'm ready for war,
Can't wait to get there
I'm ready for gore

Back home now
I didn't have time,
to put pen to paper
to write down a line

Now I know why
my cousin he lied,
the men that were wounded
the millions that died

He did not tell them
he was older with lie,
said he was younger
did not want to die

It wasn't so good
that rotten old war,
YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU
that's what I saw.
