Extinguish your hope.
Surrender to Anguish,
The Cage,
for,
your mind,
its only way out,
the stained lament,
that drips.
Drips.
So feebly,
you lie there now,
succumbing to the Darkness,
you once fought.
When you die,
there alone,
will serenity come,
or will you bemoan?

| There is nothing more debilitating than the cage we put ourselves in mentally,thought provoking, made me smile in recognition of the sentiment and thought behind this challenging poem. |
